Moving Mountains
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:22-24, NIV)
The word-picture described here – the mountain, refers to obstacles, challenges, trials, tribulations, and needs that may arise. Sometimes a challenge pops up and blocks your vision, obstructs your path, hinders you from getting what you need.
Here is good news: Moving that mountain does not depend on the greatness of the problem. But rather, it shifts because of your knowledge of the greatness of God.
I want you to know our God can move that mountain in your life, regardless of how big it is.
Listen, the enemy is going to tell you it will not work. That house you’ve been wanting to buy? That job you are after? That loved one who doesn’t look like he will ever turn to Christ? The devil wants you discouraged and distracted. That is his job. Our job is to trust God and confidently speak faith.
1 John 5:14-15 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
You are a child of promise! Speak to your trouble with a faith that transcends mere understanding, experience, or knowledge. Proclaim it knowing the promise of God will be revealed through the power of God, and God alone.
3 WAYS THE FAITH OF GOD SPEAKS
1 – The faith of God speaks OBJECTIVELY. What do you desire from God? What do you want the Lord to do? Do you want victory over that situation? Know what you want and speak in specifics. The Bible says that sometimes we pray and we pray amiss. We pray in vain.
2 – The faith of God speaks CREATIVELY. Faith in God is always imaginative and inspired. Faith will put things where there are no things. Romans 4:17 talks about Abraham, “As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”
3 – The faith of God speaks with AUTHORITY. Jesus said, “If you speak to this mountain.” He didn’t tell you to wait for God to speak to it, or that a pastor has to be the one to command it to leave. No. You have authority through Jesus Christ in the power of God’s Holy Spirit to speak to your troubles. Others can agree with you in prayer, but it is the faith-word spoken from your mouth that ruins the enemies plans.
Whatever the need is, a physical healing, restoration of relationships, finances, peace in your heart and mind – release your faith in the Name of Jesus. If you are facing a mountain, release your faith through your words in prayer to the Father. Name that thing you are struggling with. Speak to it!
I take authority over you in the name of Jesus. In Jesus name be gone. In the name of Jesus. You have no part in my house. You are not part of my life. You have no part of my body.
Father, in Jesus' Name I release my faith today. I speak to my mountain. I speak to my needs. I release it now, and I received my victory in the name of Jesus.
