Outpouring and Indwelling
You have everything you need to fight your battles and overcome the struggles of life.
Pentecost was the beginning of intimacy with the Father, once known only to the Son and the Holy Spirit. The world will never be the same because of the outpouring in the upper room that day. Those first 120 followers accepted the power from on High.
This force turned every corner of the Holy City into a target for the most remarkable message humankind would ever receive. From that moment, human beings like you and me have carried the Gospel to the world through miracles, signs, and wonders. You can “keep in step with the Spirit” because of God’s fulfilled promise to put His Spirit within His children.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, ‘I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.’” (Acts 2:17, NKJV)
Immediately after the outpouring of the Spirit, Peter stood up in front of the crowd and preached his first sermon. Three thousand souls were saved, giving them a direct connection to the Father.
If you have received Christ, your eternity is secure. Not only are you saved, but you are set free from the power of sin.
With the Spirit dwelling in your life, you can walk in holiness and resist the devil and his temptations.
You have everything you need to fight your battles and overcome the struggles of life.
